LinkedIn launches ‘Stories’ in India

Leading professional network, LinkedIn launches ‘Stories’ feature in India. The new feature enables the members and organisations share their “everyday professional moments” on their profile for 24 hours. Users can share photos and videos that are up to 20 seconds long.

Like other Social Media platforms, LinkedIn will allow the users to send messages to their connections and also tag them in stories.

To pump up the interactions, there are additional features like ‘Question of the Day’ that allows users to ask the question through their stories. However, the users cannot personalize the question at the moment.

According to LinkedIn, sharing stories is an easy way to share your experiences and insights, and to build meaningful relationships with your professional community.

Users can engage with LinkedIn Stories on your mobile app.  They can view a Story posted by their connections and LinkedIn Pages that they follow.

With respect to the analytics, the creator of a Story has access to a list of members who have viewed each post. By default, the users name and headline will appear in the creator’s analytics.

However, users can change how they appear from their settings by managing the Story viewing options under Visibility.

LinkedIn is one of the last Social Media Platforms to launch the Stories feature. Earlier this year, micro-blogging platform Twitter launched it’s version of Stories called Twitter Fleets.

Do you think LinkedIn Stories will be a success? Are you looking forward to share your professional moment of the day?
